As Abbey Grange Academy is a Church of England School, we are also subject to a SIAMS Inspection. SIAMS stands for Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, and is a process that all Church of England schools go through, on a 5 year cycle. This is a rigorous process with many similarities to an Ofsted inspection, although with a tighter focus.

From September 2023 a new inspection framework was introduced, and our Academy was one of the first schools in the country to be inspected under this new framework. We are delighted to share that the inspection findings indicated that Abbey Grange CofE Academy is living up to its foundation as a Church school.  Through our Christian Vision we enable children and adults to flourish.

During their visit, the inspector met with students, leaders, staff, governors, trustees and parents. We are incredibly proud that the report recognises the “exceptional lengths” our staff and leaders go to create an “inspirational” place where “all are welcome”. It is also great to read how effective our collective worship is and that the Religious Education provided at Abbey Grange is “highly effective”.
